Morrie and Morrie-More
A modern version of a Talmudic tale about competition, jealousy, and friendship. Who among us has not experienced a stab of pain when we believe we are the best in something – and suddenly someone takes our crown? Morrie was the forest’s jumping champion, until Morrie-More arrived and beat him big time. Morrie decided that his competitor cheated, and it became a terrible exasperation. How insulting it is when a friend “jilts” you, and how long and difficult it is to find a way of forgiveness and joy. Five illustrations from the book won the Merit Award in “3×3 – The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration” International Show 2019.
